Skem@ S.r.l. is an Industrial Solutions Provider of tailor-made products and professional services mainly to the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Power markets. Main expertise and know-how are in the field of Polyolefins.
Our services range from Feasibility Studies to Construction Supervision, Commissioning and Start-up Assistance through Detailed Design including Project Management and Procurement. We also offer totally integrated automation and safety solutions for the control and safe operation of industrial processes.
Our Clients include major Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Power Companies, EPC Contractors and leading Manufacturers of equipment in the said markets.
History
The Company was founded after Basell (now Lyondellbasell, one of the world’s premier plastics, chemicals and refining companies) divested the former Himont/Montell Project Division located in Brindisi.
The Division became part of Tecnimont Brindisi Center.
In 2004, Skem@ S.r.l. Engineering & Consulting was established by a team of Engineers which until then had already been operating in the fields of Instrumentation, Automation and Electrical Engineering for Basell.
Since then, the company the company has expanded its services portfolio to include more tailored solutions that meet Customers’ ever-increasing process challenges.
In 2010, when Tecnimont decided to integrate the Brindisi Center into the Milan Head Office, then Skem@ hired several people from different departments which they did not want to be reallocated to Milan. The team of highly specialized Engineers in Polyolefins was re-established.
In the same year, Skem@ launch a spin-off company: “ICATEC” (Instrumentation, Control & Automation TEChnology) to boost its activities into the Industrial Automation market.

The role of the Board of Directors of Skem@ is to oversee the company’s strategy, performance, compliance, and communication with our stockholders. In all of these key activities, our Directors are expected to consider the best interests of the company’s stockholders and exercise their business judgment. The Board has developed a set of Corporate Governance Guidelines that summarize the primary policies and procedures of the Skem@ Board of Directors. These guidelines are evaluated to from time to time to ensure that they address new facts and circumstances and evolving corporate governance issues.
